Restructures

Restructures are announced as solutions. They rarely arrive that way. The structure gets confirmed, the org chart gets redrawn, and then the real work begins.

What we see

A gap opens between the structural decision and the human implementation. Roles change but accountabilities stay murky. Leaders are expected to operate differently but have not been prepared for what that means in practice.

Teams that used to work well together are separated, and teams that have never worked together are suddenly dependent on each other. The announcement gets made. The embedding does not.

The symptoms that signal it is your trigger

  • Your people know something has changed on paper but are not sure what it means for them day to day.
  • Leaders are reverting to old behaviours because the new ones have not been defined clearly enough to replace them.
  • You are six months post restructure and it still does not feel like it is working.

The TIF approach

Taking It Forward works at the intersection of structure and people, helping organisations move from a confirmed design to a functioning operating model. That means role clarity, leader preparation, team integration, and a deliberate embedding plan that treats go-live as the beginning, not the end.

We have done this work under pressure and to deadline. The organisations that get it right are the ones that resource the implementation as seriously as they resourced the design.
