Taking It Forward Pty Ltd (ABN 30 658 463 524) runs takingitforward.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.

What we collect

• When you get in touch through the Let's Connect form: your name, email address, phone number, organisation and your message.
• When you request the free tip sheet or join our mailing list: your name and email address.
• When you buy the Conversation Kit: your name and email address and, if you buy for an organisation, your business name and ABN if you give them. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• When you download a file from a link we send you: the email address, date and time, so we can help if a link does not work.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry.
• To send you what you asked for, such as the tip sheet or the kit you bought.
• To issue receipts and tax invoices and keep the business records the law requires.
• To send occasional updates if you joined our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the service providers that help us run this website and our business:

• our website hosting provider in Australia
• our email delivery service, which sends the emails this website sends you
• Stripe, which processes card payments
• Microsoft 365, which we use for our email

Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies

This website uses cookies that it needs to work properly and to load quickly. We do not use advertising cookies. Stripe uses its own cookies on its checkout page to process your payment securely.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing lana@takingitforward.com.

Questions or complaints

If you have a question or a concern about how we have handled your information, email lana@takingitforward.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
